Screen Ad System Manager Plugin V2.0
A WordPress plugin is required that will read and update multiple XML files that contain file locations and variable values for images and video. These filenames and URLs will be used to display a slide show on a streaming internet device as well as display the images and videos in the WordPress site. Plugin must be completely compatible with WordPress 3.6.1 and have to ability to check for updates to make sure the latest plugin version is installed.
The application will be subscription based. A valid License Key must be present in order for Plugin to function. If Key is absent or expired, plugin will display error with link to subscription page.
The plugin will have four main views: Individual Ad View, Location View, System View, Graveyard View.
The Individual Ad View will allow the user to see a large representation of the image or video as well as change image variables including image duration and date range of display.
Location Management view will allow user to add, edit and delete existing locations. Each location will have a separate XML file that controls the content displayed. This area will also contain a field for the Registration Key.
System View will display some or all of the current images based on the locations they are appearing in. Clicking on a thumbnail of any image will automatically take user to the Individual Ad View.
Graveyard View will be laid out the same as System View, but only contain thumbnails of images that do not appear at any of the locations.
All of the icons used in the page mockups are located in one of three files. icons-sm.png, icons-md.png and icons-lg.png. Each of these files contains multiple images. Displaying the correct image will require the file to be called and CSS to be used to only show the correct image. A separator line (separator.jpg) will also be used to divide areas into sections. The pixel width of this file should be determined by CSS in order to fit it properly into the spaces needed.
Upon launch of plugin, all of the registered XML files will be read. These file locations will be used to create thumbnails that will be displayed in the default view. The default view will be the System View screen.
Also upon launch, if any of the registered XML files have expired images, these images will automatically be removed from the XML file and moved to the graveyard. When an image or multiple images are sent to the Graveyard, a popup should appear to let user know that the following images will be automatically removed due to expiration date.
