We have a WordPress site at cca.attendstar.net (Staging) that list concerts using a custom plugin we built (Event Listing). The data is stored in the typical WP methods.
Next we have a newsletter that we create with Active Campaign, using the download version. NOT THE HOSTED version.
Each subscriber is coded with a unique field that identifies that city they live in. The concert listings are also coded with a unique field where that concert is. So if concertcode = subscriber code then that email newsletter will get that concert name, city, date.
So what seems like needs to happen is we need to run a script the day before we send the newsletter and populate the concert dates into the email marketing software. Then we send the email out and use the mailmerge fields to populate the newsletter. We have determined there is no way to generate the emails and "go get" the data in real time. That also would slow down the sending process and not meet the delivery goals.
We have a staging server with sample subscriber emails ready to use. Knowing how WordPress stores data would be helpful in copying the concert events to the subscriber file.
We require professional coding and commenting of code. This is NOT a WordPress plugin. That is not needed as this script will be executed and only purpose is to populate newsletter mail merge fields. We have already created the fields in the newsletter table and can give you that information.
So writing the script to populate the subscriber fields from WordPress database is what is required. Please let me know questions.
