Project Description:
I'm the owner of a small community built around BuddyPress and WordPress. What we need is a plugin that extends BP notification system to notify users of new activities posted by other users (via the notification menu, not email).
It should work, if possible, in this way:
- when a user logins or refreshes the page, it should see in the notification menu, before other notifications, something like "X new posts" (or activities, or any other term we will choose).
- clicking on the notifications, it should redirect to a page with all this new posts listed, to make it easy to read them.
Basically, we want a similar behavior of this plugin: http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-activity-comment-notifier/, but extended to new posts, not only to comments.
