Project Description:

Build a Wordpress plugin that automatically searches & adds Amazon Besteller, Top Rated & Hot New Release listings in both sidebar widgets and in the post content area:

Details of this plugin's required capabilities:
• the ability to pull tightly-relevant products to the niche, from user-entered keywords, or optionally if they like, by entering the product node
• the ability to pull results from the Amazon's "Bestsellers," "Top Rated" and "Hot New Releases" menus, up to 15 results, from any of these 3 listings
• the ability to display these listings, complete with product name, star rating, Amazon thumbnail photo, retail and discounted price in a vertical column in a sidebar widget, and/or in horizontal rows in the content area. In-post listings can be placed easily in the Wordpress post editor using shortcodes.
• the ability to automatically include the users Amazon Associates ID in the link-thru to Amazon,
• the ability to cloak that link
• the ability to track just the # of clicks on each added product, without using an outside analytics tool like Google Analytics, so probably just the addition of a simple click-thru counter.
• the ability for the plugin to pull it's fonts from the same Body and Sidebar fonts in CSS, so the added listings' fonts/font sizes will match the surrounding content
• the ability to increase or decrease the size of the fonts, stars, prices, and thumbnail photos to the webmaster's liking

We have an already-existing plugin to use as a starting platform, that has it's own well-written CSS code and many of these features. The chosen contractor can use this plugin as a solid beginning, and just add the improvements and extensions it does not yet include.

Job is posted as "Hourly," but candidates are welcome to submit Fixed Price bids for completing this entire plugin project. Although price is a consideration, more important is speed of completion, skill with the Amazon API/RSS, and a clean-working plugin code, as is fine English speaking & writing, and the ability to have direct calls over Skype, if needed.
