Almost every time I upgrade any Wordpress installation, there is an issue. It is really a recurring and very annoying problem with Wordpress. In this particular case, I am not able to login to Wordpress backend at all. The frontend is working fine, but the admin login page is blank. You see nothing. Here is what I need:
1. Fix the admin backend without affecting the site or database in any way.
2. Document the problem: identify what exactly caused the blank page problem.
3. Document the fix (what templates/files were modified).
4. How to prevent this annoying problem from happening during the next Wordpress upgrade.

One more thing... There is a way around the blank admin login page. You can go to domain.com/wp-login.php, and you are able to login. But when you try to make changes within the admin, the changes take effect, but you get a blank page as the result. Then you have to push the back button to go back to the admin pages. This is all one problem in my opinion. Thanks.
