HTML5 Canvas programmer to animate a data set contained in an XML file. The visualization would animate over a timeline to allow for pausing, returning to a data point or jumping to a future point.
We need to find a freelancer that can program the animation. Lakshmi is in charge of data. We need to find some as soon as possible.
This is the basic project description:
An interactive piece that animates the claims reserve process.
Here is the process they want to animate:

Time lapsed 3-D animation of a city organized in concentric circles. The start would be an empty plot of land representing the overall size of the selected Ultimate Loss at the beginning of 2010. The land would be organized by circular bands representing the size of individual claims (outskirts of the city may be claims less than $500K, next band 500k-1M, then 1M-5M, then over $5M in the center "downtown"). As claims are reported, they pop up as buildings at the top of the appropriate circle and begin to rotate clockwise around the city as time evolves (e.g., monthly) and the claims develop. The height of the building will reflect the size of the claim and the building will be split into 2 stories representing how much of the claim is 'Paid' and what portion is 'Reserved'. As the claims develop, the buildings may (1) change in height to reflect a new claim size; (2) show a different split between Paid / Reserved; (3) change color to indicate if claim size increased (red) or decreased (green); (4) cross over into a new size circle band. While existing claims are rotating around the city and developing, new claims continue to drop in from the top. Concurrently, the entire plot of land will (1) change size as the overall selected Ultimate Loss for 2010 increases / decreases; and (2) change to red / green accordingly.
