I would like to create wordpress registration form and update our current submission form which submits to a control panel where posts are accepted. If accepted wordpress creates a post with the submitters information. The control panel already exists, however new data will need to be carried over.
Wordpress Author Registration
Users should now register to submit. Their authorname (username) will be connected to all of their submissions using the basic wordpress author system. I like this signup setup, which uses bootstrap formatting. https://wrapbootstrap.com/signin. After signing up or choosing not to they will be redirected to the normal form. The author should be able to enter their website url and description as well. I don’t want to send them to the wordpress generic registration page or interface.
The current form seems like a mix between the cforms plugin and custom code. Validation doesn’t seem to be working anymore for some reason. I would like to clean up the old form jquery links, plugins, if we can and use a bootstrap based form, which I already have implemented bootstrap jquery and css. http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/base-css.html#forms
After the form us submitted, it submits to a database table. There is a control panel where I can accept/reject/delete submissions. When accepted, it makes a wordpress post with the site URL and other information. A screenshot is generated and inserted into the post using a screenshot script.
I would like to implement form validation and some new fields. I would also like to submit data that is not currently submitted to each generated wordpress post. New fields will be below.
Description* (not a new field but currently the description does not submit to the wordpress post. I would like it to post the content under the post thumbnail that is inserted.)
NEW FIELD - Tags* (select from provided tags) This will need to be submitted to the post tags.
NEW FIELD - Colors* (select from provided tags) This will need to be submitted to the post tags.
NEW FIELD - Structure* (select from provided tags) This will need to be submitted to the post tags.
