Project Description:
We need a DHL module for PrestShop getting real time shipping rates from the DHL XML SERVICE TOOLKIT based on total weight of the products.
We already have a simple module for VirtueMart, however since we've decided moving to Prestashop we need someone who can able to adapt this module for prestashop or make a new one. Our VirtueMart module will be provided for you as a working example.
DHL shipping service is based on DHL XML SERVICE TOOLKIT so you have to understand it and have some basic experience with it. https://xmlpi-ea.dhl.com. The DHL XML service toolkit provide many possibilities, however we need only real time shipping calculation based on total weight of the products.
As a final product we need a module which can be installed on Prestashop like any other prestashop module.
The module should provide a configuration page which can be edited from Prestashop Admin Panel. It should include all necessary configuration fields such as: DHL account login and password. FROM shipping address with index. DHL Delivery types we want to include or exclude from results (DHL Express shipping, Standard shipping etc.). We should be able to translate DHL Delivery types to our shop languages and to include (if necessary) extra fee for each delivery type.
The module should work on Prestashop 1.4.8.2 and with 1.5 since we will upgrade our shop in future.
The module should also work with Shipping Estimation module which is already built in PrestaShop (Module to compare carrier possibilities before customer registration).

The module should use some caching system to increase the request speed.
