We need a social networking site that has the following features: upload/share files, private messaging, wiki, discussion forum, blog, and AdSense revenue sharing. But it must also have added features to let users save articles to their library (like Connotea.org), rate and review them (like Digg or Pligg), share them with friends and have a toolbar/plugin that users can install in their web browser to access functions of the website and bookmark/review offsite articles.
This job includes development, design, SEO, and installation. If we are completely satisfied with the creation of the site, the creator will receive exclusive requests for maintenance/upgrades to the website and other projects.
Customization of an existing scripts for this job is acceptable but they must be discussed beforehand, must be excellent social networking scripts, scalable, and have fast load times. Customization or cloning of the Connotea.org code is acceptable but only if it is in compliance with Connotea.org's regulations for the use of the code. We would like to see the progress of this project from time to time to make sure all needs are met. An online demo will also be required before transaction. Some changes may be requested during the process but will be minimal. The programmer must be dependable and prompt, and must speak fluent english.
Please respond ONLY if you have experience with building large-scale Web 2.0 sites. We must see fully functional online examples of similar work you have done to demonstrate your expertise in these areas and proof that you indeed are the creator of that work.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
