We need to convert an existing MS Access Database to MySql and fully convert the database for online use and eliminate MS Access. There will need to be web pages designed for use by our internal employees and external clients-each with different levels of access.
Since we have an existing database, we have a relatively clear idea of what we want but we are open to your professional guidance.
This project must be tested and completed by April 30th. Please only quote this project if you have the availability to complete this project on time.
Technician should be able to speak and write clearly in English.
Detailed Project Information:
We use this database to enter, assign, track, and bill for service calls. This includes all related service call information including tracking expenses and inventory as well as the technicians & vendors associated with the service call.
Client-side access: We need our clients to be able to log into our site/database and upload individual as well as bulk tickets into the database. We will need to control which fields the clients can view/edit. The Client will also need access to view existing tickets and make edits. We will need the database to provide alerts to our internal staff when the client adds/edits tickets.
Internal Employee access: We will need to have database for our internal employees based on 2 levels: administrator (full) and user (limited).
There are 11 main data tables and 31 related drop-down list tables, queries, reports, and forms related to those tables which we have designed in Access and will need to be converted to the website. Some new forms, queries, and reports will need to be designed which are not currently in the Access database.
We will want the site to be functional as well as visually clean and professional looking.
Our current web site host supports the following items below (but we can move to whatever server would be best for the project). I believe we will want to do this project in Mysql and PHP unless you recommend otherwise.
