Project Description:
We have developed our own in-house Delphi application for task planning,scheduling and day planning. It uses a MySQL database for all data.
We now want to migrate this Delphi app to an online app programmed in Perl, while still using the same MySQL database.
We have set up the application framework in Perl using Rose::DB. We now need implementation of the following functionality (which all can be found in the Delphi app):
- Get a list of all available timeframes where one of our consultants is available for a 30 minute consult to our clients.
- Plan a 30 minute consult for a client in the agenda of the consultant.
- Cancel a consult that was previously planned.
- Get a list of currently planned consults for a client.
There is no user interface needed, because the UI form this functionality is already implemented in our (custom build by ourselves) client control-panel. The Perl script will communicate with the control-panel via JSON. This communication part is already implemented in the Perl framework.
We have 4 developers inhouse. Our lead developer will be available to get you started and will be monitoring your progress.
This part of the migration is needed a.s.a.p. It may need only 10-20 hours of programming.
Beyond this small project we will be looking for freelancer(s) to do a full migration of the Delphi app. This will be a project for hunderds of hours of work. Beyond that we will need freelancer(s) extending the functionality for years to come, which again might be hundreds or even thousands of hours of work.
So this small project is also a basis for us to determine which developers we will hire for the complete app.
