Project Description:
I am trying to host a website that is in essence a sign-up sheet. I would like a small calendar at the top of the site. When any given date is selected a 10 person list appears. The list would consist of text boxes with submit buttons next to them (two boxes per submit button, one for name and one for email). Once someone visits the site, chooses their date from the calendar, enters their name into the box, and hits submit, the text box would then disappear and would re-appear as a text line that cannot be edited (the submit button would also dissappear). Once the 10 slots have been filled up the list of names would be email to me. I would also like to be able to edit the lists as the webmaster in case someone needs to be removed. That way I can free up that spot on the list and make the space available again. I have been told that this is not difficult programming but that it can't be done in html, it must be done in cgi. As of right now my website is just through geocities, so if it can be done through html that is the preffered method because I don't think geocities allows cgi scripts. Being that this is not for a company but rather for my own personal use I don't have a very high budget. If it is easy enough to do hopefully someone will be willing to make a little bit of money for throwing it together. I appreciate anyone's help or assistance that they may be willing to provide. FYI: I am a beginner with web design so I would ask that if you feel you can complete this project that it be coding that I can in a sense "plug and play" with my website.
