My name is Simon Senn and I'm a Swiss 26 year old video artist. I've been invited to an exhibition in Birmingham to show my art. I want to use this opportunity to allow 5 other people to show their videos. I think video is great because it's really easy to share. When browsing the internet I thought that videos made around the world and shown online had something very special. Something fresh, strong, raw and unexpected.
In order to make that happen, I set up a competition with the theme "rage of today's youth". The competition will consist of making a short video (more or less one minute) about the situation and hope for the young people. It can be documentary, fiction or animated film.
Each shortlisted participant will have a $80 USD budget to make the video.
The criteria for judging the best video are: looking authentic and truthful, intensity, strength, roughness and most importantly it has to be sensationalist.
Each one of the five participant will have the opportunity to have his video shown and his name credited in a gallery in the UK and the winner of the competition will be awarded with a money prize of $200 USD. The jury will be composed of 3 video art specialists.
If you want to make a proposal, please shortly describe your project.
