We are currently looking for someone to create a 3D abandoned insane asylum that will be featured in an open world Unity 3D game.
You would be creating designing the interior / exterior of the building based on our specifications. You would be responsible for modeling, the building, texturing everything, as well as modeling various items inside of the asylum (this would be more limited due to the asylum being abandoned). For story purposes the asylum would also feature a level of aged fire damage visible in regions of the hospital.
The art style that we are currently going for is that of an HDR photograph ( a dark, scary atmosphere where the small amounts of color pop out a bit to the player). We are not looking for ultra realistic graphics (as we need something that could possibly be ported to mobile in the future as well) but are more stylized art style which would be conducive to a survival horror game taking place in a borderline haunted asylum which has not been used in about 20 years. We are expecting paint peeling, ceilings collapsing in areas, minor graffiti, overgrown vegetation, etc.
We will be able to provide you with a variety of images and videos of real life abandoned asylums which would help us design a real to life level design.
An example of some of the rooms that would be in the asylum are:
- Bathrooms & shower areas
- Clinic & surgical area
- Entertainment Hall
- Visitors daycare
- sleeping quarters
- solitary confinement areas
- Reception area
- Office space
In the end we would like to have the building submitted to us in a unity project so that we may "walk through" the building and make sure it is exactly what we will be needing for the game. This is a project which is still far from completion so we are in no rush to have the level created. This is a project which we feel could be created by a talented person in their free time over the course of 2-4 months. Depending on how well this comes out we would hopefully also be able to give this person more work on the game.
I am attaching some images so that you can have a better idea of the abandoned asylum should look. The first image is a good concept for how we hope the art style would look. When bidding on the project please contact us with sample work that would be similar to our project (or a sample piece of artwork that would show us how your final asylum would look)
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
