Swashbucklers of all ages will enjoy this free two day event along E. Ocean Avenue between Seacrest and NE 1st where Downtown Boynton Beach will be transformed into a lively pirate village with 3 stages of continuous live music, children’s activities, pirate re-enactments and pirate stunt shows.nnAdditional highlights include; The interactive pirate ship Avenger, Magicians, Fairies, the wheel walker, balloon fencing, Mermaids, Pirate reenactments, sword fights, a kids parade and pirate ceremony at noon, and Captain Jack Sparrow, with his crew of over 70 buccaneers who will make this event a totally interactive experience. A Spooktacular Haunted House presented by the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum, along with music acts The Bawdy Boys and Celtic Mayhem and numerous performance groups: Three stages with continuous entertainment and live music will make the weekend experience complete!nnThe Haunted Pirates Fest is expanding to include a Free evening event “Mermaid Splash.” This event will take place on October 26, 2013, 5pm -10pm and will include the local businesses. The Mermaid Parade will kick off the event with a walking parade held at 5:00pm at 129 Ocean Ave. (next to the Children’s School House Museum). Ocean Avenue will be closed to Federal Highway to hold the many participants. The parade will travel to the Marina and back to Ocean Ave & 4th Street.nnThe Festival will also feature:nn3 locations 400 E. Ocean Ave, 640 E. Ocean Ave. (Ocean Plaza) and the Boynton Harbor Marina.nnTwo stages with continuous free live music throughout the evening located at 4th & Ocean and 640 Ocean Ave. (Ocean Plaza).nnFood ranging from a quick bite to a full meal will be available from local restaurants in tents along Ocean Avenue.nnA craft table sponsored by Resource Depot where kids can make their own Pirate or mermaid.nnThe Black Sparrow Pirates ship will be located at the Boynton Harbor Marina with Pirate reenactments.nnLive Mermaids in a tank and a Mermaid Pageant.nnAdd 9 photos to beginning of photo gallery. nnWill include one round of changes and will also include the schedule once given.
