The Government of Nepal (GoN) has been implementing Micro-Enterprise Development Programme – Phase III (MEDEP - III) with support from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The purpose of MEDEP is to provide support to the Government of Nepal to design policies and take initiatives to expand employment opportunities through Micro-Enterprise Development for Poor, Youths, Women and Socially Excluded Groups in selected districts
Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct Supervision of the National Programme Manager, AFA will report to NPM through AFS (NPPP II) and is responsible for:
Supervising records on financial accounts, personnel, procurement and inventory.
Managing administrative work and provide logistic support for smooth implementation of programme.
Preparing and submitting to UNDP office quarterly financial reports and annual inventory report.
Co-ordinating with PMES to prepare annual and quarterly work plans.
Preparing monthly shadow budget for tracking the delivery of the programme.
Arranging Project Executive Board, Procurement and Recruitment Committee meetings and preparing minutes of these meetings.
Arranging and providing logistic support for the conduct of workshop and seminars.
Backstopping, monitoring and providing training to the field based Programme/ Finance/Administrative staffs in the areas of financial and administrative arrangements and reporting.
Conducting frequent field visits for the purpose of monitoring and supervision.
Managing annual audit exercise and taking follow-up actions.
Controlling and supervising including internal audit of the Area Programme Support Offices (APSOs) in financial and administrative management.
Providing technical assistance to BDSPs, D-MEGAs, DDC (MEDF) in financial management.
Update the existing physical assets in APSOs, CBDP, partner organisations, NPSO and manage them properly. Prepare update lists of physical assets and recommend for either right off through PB or co-ordinate with UNDP for auction for all those assets which are either lying unused or out of order or have become outdate (computers) or handing over to partner organisations.
Ensure that MEDEP activities are planned and implemented in a gender sensitive and social inclusive manner and that all implementing partners are sensitized and trained in gender and social inclusion
Supervising and controlling of project vehicles and equipments.
Conducting analysis of project budget allocation and expenditure from a gender and social inclusion perspective under the guidance of the NPM and Gender Focal Point.
Supervising the work of other support staff.
Support other activities as required by the project management.
