Project Description:
I'm looking for a writer, preferably one who is familiar with and interested in academic writing in critical theory/philosophy, the Humanities and/or the Social Sciences. To begin with, I have a few of articles I need help summarizing and contextualizing within a broader project my own. This doesn't necessarily mean I need the articles "spun"--I'd much rather due credit be given to the original authors--I just need help rewriting and repatching them as summaries within the context of my own project, quoting them as directly and/or as often as necessary, following the Chicago Manual of Style, but avoiding, as often as would be possible, the "block quote" level of a 100 words. I'll provide you with the original articles as well as the general drift or outline I'd like them to follow in their summary, that is, the drift they ought to be summarized and contextualized within and towards. This will most likely be a project requiring some back-and-forth, and if it works out and we have a rapport, it will most definitely be a project that we will continue after we've completed this first chunk. The bottom line is that I'm looking for a writer to help me get a bare-bones draft for a larger project together from various articles, quotes, and notes of my own, which I will then take and use as a starting-point for my own elaborated final draft. Please keep in mind that we're talking about relatively difficult and specialized writing here, and so I can't imagine a project like this could be taken-on by someone unable to follow the eminent academic journals in contemporary theory, or someone without an enthusiasm for or an interest in them. If your schedule is open, and you're flexible, and if all this sounds like something you'd be interested in taking-on please contact me with a little sample of your writing or something. From what I can make out, the going rate is $12.00 per page, but this definitely negotiable, as is the timeline. We can pass files back-and-forth in Word format, and I can provide the primary texts in either Word or Acrobat format. Hopefully, there is someone out there who'll be able to help me with this, because I just can't seem to get a workable starting-point together on my own.
