I was in an Independent Study for a class at my University last semester to learn Ruby on Rails. I picked up a ton of great things, and built a pretty cool project, but there are still a few errors in it. I would like to host the project on GitHub and continue to add more features, but there are a few things wrong with it.
Basically, if you could proofread all of my code and fix a few errors, that's all I need. No need to add any features, but making sure that what I have right now looks good and function properly is what I need.
The project I chose to do was a project management system (before I learned that the Rails framework was developed by the people behind Basecamp). At the moment you can create an account (with the help of Devise), and manage projects. You can create a project, and underneath each project, you can have a number of things. A single project may have multiple to-do lists and messages. Each to-do list can have multiple tasks. Each task can be marked complete or incomplete.
Here is the tiered-structure of what I just described:
It's actually pretty simple, but right there are a number of things not working. Some of the ones I documented include:
-Editing a to-do list to a project
-Adding a to-do list to a project
-Fixing how my routing is set up (people say that I nested my routes too deep)
-When you post a message on a project, I want it redirected back to the messages URL, not the project URL
That's about it. I mean it should be pretty simple but I'm swamped with work so if I could get these errors fixed up I could really move on with this project.
Thanks to anybody looking at this and replying. I look forward to working with one of you!
