3 Assignment Requirements
Students are required to:
(a) Attend the laboratory sessions, as assigned in the group timetable. During the lab sessions, a
staff member will be available to provide advice and support in completing the required
(b) Construct, using ERACS software package, the example network shown in Figure (1),
following the procedure described in section 4.
Write a report (a text maximum of 1000 words, excluding diagrams, contents, references
etc.) to include computer print-outs and the different particulars described in sections 4 and 5.
It is expected that the overall standard of presentation will be high and untidy or disorganized
reports will be penalized. The quality of the network model is also important. While you may
work on the network model with others, the report must be your own work; you must not copy
from others. Any reference material you use must be acknowledged.
