Ruby on Rails updates using Git

Project Description:
We are in the process of implementing a new home page design. The design is complete and most of the front-end programming is done. However, the site is managed by a CMS that was built using Ruby on Rails and there will be some updates to this application that will be necessary as part of this update. We are looking for someone to integrate the front-end code with the application and make the necessary Ruby on Rails updates to the CMS and deploy the udpated site. The codebase for the site is hosted on github and uses the Git revision control system for checking in/out of udpates.

1. Investors and Services
The ability to manage the text for investors and services needs to be added to
the CMS. At times, there will be no text for Services. The simplest solution is that
when those fields are blank in the CMS, nothing appears.

2. Headline and About Us
The ability to manage the text for headline and About Us needs to be added to
the CMS.

3. Rotating image slideshow.
This is a rotating javascript image slideshow. The CMS already allows image
uploads. However, The ability to select which photos should appear in the
slideshow needs to be added to the CMS.

4. Rentals and Developments Tabbed Carousels
The current site features a javascript carousel of rental properties. The NEW
home page has several modifications to this carousel that will require udpates to
the CMS.
— First, we’ve added a second carousel for developments.
— Second, we’ve modified the display (3 images instead of 2)
— Third, we’ve modified the text that shows below the photo. This “Short
Description” is a new field we would like to add to the CMS and may effect a few
other pages of the site.

5. New Background
We have a new background which we’d like to roll out site-wide. However, there
are several areas of the site where the text would need to be changed from black
to white because of the new background.
