Project Description:
We are planning to launch a new business that will rely heavily on online videos and the creation of a dedicated video channel to host them.
Videos will be captured using either webcam, smartphone or tablet, uploaded to a server, enhanced and then posted to an online video channel.
In Phase 1 of this project you will be required to read our brief, understand our requirements and help us understand which of Vimeo (Pro) and / or YouTube is our best option. You will also be required to assess other hosting options that will may meet our objectives e.g. self hosted. Your report will clearly give us the pros and cons of each for the model we intend pursuing (based on our brief requirements which will be sent to you if you are awarded the job) and your overall recommendations for the best solution.
Your recommendations will take into consideration user experience, our branding requirements, video enhancements and video SEO type topics. We're not looking for a complicated report, maybe 2 or 3 pages with pros and cons, how each option meets / doesn't meet our requirments and what solution you suggest we go with and why. THIS IS THE PROJECT YOU ARE BIDDING ON.

Future work: Phase 2 (which is not part of this bid) will require you setting up a channel for us (based on Phase 1 recommendations) and will also require ongoing support services as we grow the channel. This will be defined once Phase 1 is completed.
