Are you an experienced high-achieving, goal-oriented seasoned sales professional with outstanding presentation, negotiation and closing skills? Do you have established relationships with corporations for potential sponsorship of properties? Our nonprofit organization, Discoveries of Hope Foundation (DoH), has been contracted by a national non-profit organization to develop, manage and execute high visibility celebrity fundraising events for their West Coast operations.
The ideal experienced senior sales professional will prospect, solicit, pitch and close corporate sponsors for several major fundraisers. In addition, this individual will play a key role in the development of corporate fundraising and cause-related marketing programs to solidify sponsors at venues in West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Malibu and other Southern CA areas.
Key Responsibilities Include:
? Develop new business through leads, name collection activities, cold calls, networking events, social events, etc.
? Identify and enlists new funders through an entrepreneurial approach to prospect identification and cultivation
? Thoroughly understand the sponsors’ business including their organization, mission, marketing strategies and philanthropic priorities
?Collaboratively and independently identify and build relationship with targeted sponsors to generate sponsorship commitments and revenues
? Negotiate sponsorship terms and benefits for contracts; maintain strong relationships with executives and influencers
? Proven track record of developing new business and generating measurable results
? Effectively produce sponsorship deliverables in a timely manner on multiple projects
? Ability to develop new opportunities through direct contact with potential sponsors and luxury brands
? Manage all sponsorship contracts, ensure deliverables are met, and coordinate post-event follow up
Desired Expertise:
? Come to the table with established corporate sponsor relationships with proven ability to open doors and close deals with local businesses and regional and national corporations
? Entrepreneurial thinker with broad understanding of business, sales, marketing and technology and how to apply it in different organizations and/or vertical markets
? Effectively communicate with sponsors to design, develop and implement innovative programs related to sponsorships that support brand initiatives, retail goals and strategic initiatives
? Ability to develop cultivation and solicitation strategies for each corporate sponsor prospect/donor within the context of a multi-year strategy targeted to achieve annual fundraising goals
Qualifications:
? Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
? At least 2-5 years sales experience with proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and targets
? Ability to network and interact as well as support effective partnerships, with corporations, key groups and individuals
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation, networking and relationship management skills
? Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to forge and maintain strong relationships with clients and other strategic partners
? Have passion for the organization's mission and a personal commitment to its success
? Exceptional written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive letters and emails
? Resourceful, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to work proactively and independently
? Strong knowledge of and ability to understand marketing strategies relevant to corporate responsibility goals
? Flexibility and ability to push through indecision and ambiguity to deliver results
? Highly motivated and enthusiastic; thrives under pressure; ability to work with high degree of intensity and follow through
