Project Description:
Hello Jeyes,

We have lots of projects and seek a dedicated programmer, who can assist us with our site development in a modular manner.

This is one project, we need assistance with at the moment. Snapwire.com was taken offline a couple of weeks ago, cause the server load on the db was large, due to the threads that wordpress opens up in Mysql, the site had a good set of traffic and it was increasing everyday and we got into this problem, once posts on the site grew to the 40000 number.

the site operated on wprobot and wordpress, http://wprobot.com/ and wordpress.org
it ran on a dedicated server with ample ram, bandwidth, then too the load factor on the machine, required us to constantly reboot the machine, or reset mysql to close down the excessive threads.

I would like to know, if you are interested or can assist us to fix this mess. Please advise if you have any questions, pertaining to the above.

So, essentially, what we need is;
1. Integrated of our existing wordpress site into a new html design, which we already have. we will use the same old wordpress db. or import the wordpress content into a freshly made mysql db and port over the tables into the respective tables in the new db, this way.

so instead of using wordpress structure of the site, we use our own html template on the same db.

2. The New HTML design, should incorporate a new way, for our site users, to submit posts, i.e into the site. These posts submitted, preferably, should have a GEOIP function to show the users location, we do not ask for username/passwords on our site, anyone can submit a report, goes into a administrator pending approval thread or is posted immediately, upon submission, capcha does apply, to keep spambots away. Html mark up is removed from this.

Please note, snapwire is a alternative news media site, we attempted to bring news coverage which other media sites were not reporting. We never authored anything ourselves, as all the reports/posts were video reports from youtube, plugged over to the site.

WE used WPROBOT to watch certain keywords from youtube and put them into the site. The site kept on growing and the popularity kept on increasing. We would like to keep the same format going, but do some changes to the system, to make the DB more robust.

I would appreciate your understanding on this matter and advise, with a possible quote thereafter, which details time, we could complete this project, and then we can start on it ASAP.

Please advise.
