I have complex set of surfaces. They have edges that join with other surfaces. The programming must treat all of these surfaces together as a single body. The holes and points (circles) have to be able to exist over the edge of many surfaces. I want two grasshopper programs for them. Program A. A program in Grasshopper to take these surfaces and fill them with holes. Then place points between these holes. We need six (6) Parameter controlling these holes. [login to view URL] from each other 2. Size of the holes (they are circles) 3. The number of holes 4. Randomizing function in regards to position so they don’t come out completely evenly spaced. 5. The number of points. (These points are between the holes) 6. Randomizing function as how evenly spaced these points are between the holes. Program B Have the surfaces filled with points evenly spaced from each other. Some of these points will be replaced by holes. The size of the holes, and the number change the position of the points as they are evenly spaced. I have four (4) parameters controlling this program. [login to view URL] of points 2. Dear Sir, I am Ramy Osama , a 27 year old architect and I have been experimenting around with rhino and grasshopper for two years now and thankfully I know my way around it very well. I have done a lot of projects with it involving dividing complex surfaces with either patterns or making certain shaped holes on them. In your case I will probably arrange the sets of the whole surfaces in order to deal with them in an easy way and then I am going to try to subdivide them in U and V order and make the holes in them accordingly. Of-course I still dont fully understand what you need but god willing I have the confidence that it can be done. Hi, I have been working with Rhino and Grasshoper for other project here but the buyer changed his mind later. Note: there is no Grasshopper for Mac although you can run Windows version using emulation or Dual Boot on Mac (e.g. Rhino and Grasshopper for Windows). I apologize I forgot to write that initially. I think I understand both algorithms you are trying to create. I see some difficulties in the first (function to control placements with paramaters entered e.g. given a lot of holes and a big distance between them is not possible so that should be returned) and the second (replacement of points after some are changed to holes) but I have a strong feeling this is possible in Grasshopper. So I'm bidding for two milestones, simply: 1st algorithm, first milestone, 50% 2nd algorithm, second milestone, 50% I would like to receive one of your 3D sample models before accepting this bid to confirm actual implementation possibility of these two algoritms in Grasshopper. Thanks, Matt P.S. I have a MacBook Pro, using it 90% of time, recently upgraded from 10.6.8 to Mavericks. But since Grasshopper is not dependable on Mac OS version, I see no problems for Grasshopper scripts to be applied in your Mac (Grasshopper version is more important).
