Hi, I have been working with Rhino and Grasshoper for other project here but the buyer changed his mind later. Note: there is no Grasshopper for Mac although you can run Windows version using emulation or Dual Boot on Mac (e.g. Rhino and Grasshopper for Windows). I apologize I forgot to write that initially.
I think I understand both algorithms you are trying to create. I see some difficulties in the first (function to control placements with paramaters entered e.g. given a lot of holes and a big distance between them is not possible so that should be returned) and the second (replacement of points after some are changed to holes) but I have a strong feeling this is possible in Grasshopper.
So I'm bidding for two milestones, simply:
1st algorithm, first milestone, 50%
2nd algorithm, second milestone, 50%
I would like to receive one of your 3D sample models before accepting this bid to confirm actual implementation possibility of these two algoritms in Grasshopper.

P.S. I have a MacBook Pro, using it 90% of time, recently upgraded from 10.6.8 to Mavericks. But since Grasshopper is not dependable on Mac OS version, I see no problems for Grasshopper scripts to be applied in your Mac (Grasshopper version is more important).
