I have a working Tradestation strategy written in Tradestation Easylanguage, their proprietary scripting code similar to C++. It is a day-trade system that reverses positions often during the day, meaning it will buy some contracts, then sellshort to establish a short position, and vice versa, without being flat in between positions. It is working perfectly except that the Tradestation strategy engine doesn't allow simultaneous placement of entry and exit order when tracking positions based on real account activity. For example, what is does now: If I am long 1, and I want to go short, it will exit my long, then place an order to go short 1. I need it to do this: If I am long 1, and I want to go short, it will place a single order to short 2, thus giving me a net position of short 1. I've talked with the engineers at Tradestation and they say the only way to achieve this while tracking orders based on real account activity is to use their new programming language, Object Oriented Easy Language. I cannot code well in this new language. The programmer I hire will take my existing strategy in Easy Language (EL), and convert it (including recreating the Tradestation strategy manager functions necessary, since they are not already designed into OOEL) in Object Oriented Easylanguage (OOEL). After you deliver the product, I will conduct a 2-week live test. It must work correctly before the project will be considered complete.
