I have 2 Intel X540-T2 network cards and 1 Netgear ProSafe Plus XS708E 10Gbe switch. They have been reviewed at http://www.storagereview.com/netgear_prosafe_plus_xs708e_10gbe_switch_review
I have the correct drivers installed. I'm using 2 Windows 7 machines. One with the latest i5 processor and one with a i7 processor. I have the right cable and I get a 10 gigabit link. I'm using a ramdisk so that I can reach speeds of over 3,000 MB/s (Megabytes per second) However when I test the speed through the network using Crystal Disk Mark I only get about 380 MB/s when I should get 1250 MB/s or close. I have tried a direct cable between the computer's network cards avoiding the switch but the transfer speeds are still about the same. In the review above with the same hardware they got much faster speeds.
I need someone to troubleshoot and resolve this problem. I can give you access to both computers via teamviewer and I can take care of any hardware installation or changes needed. I need someone who is knowledgeable in networking and who has experience with the 10 Gigabit technology.
