We are looking for a Mechanical Designer with a copy of AutoCAD Inventor, or Solidworks, to create a dimensionally accurate 3D model of a Belt Conveyor Module. The project will involve approximately 6 Machined Steel parts (very simple), 6 Sheet Metal parts (also very basic and mirrored designs so really only three models that are unique), 6 Machined sections of Structural Steel, 4 machined plastic parts (simple), and 18-20 Purchased parts that need to be drawn to show on the assembly.
We need these parts to be modelled in CAD then assembled showing relevant hardware, and constraints so that the model can be simulated with motion, and interference checking. Some basic FEA should be performed to the structure to ensure the assembly can withstand the loads. The 22 Machined or fabricated parts will need working drawings with a customised drawing format for our company.
We can supply some concept images and some .step assemblies of the basic design, but these files are not dimensionally perfect so we expect these to be recreated with Inventor or Solidworks, so that variations of this assembly can be easily generated. i.e. If we want to lengthen or shorten the design, we can make changes at the final assembly level, then generate new drawings.
The Belt Module is approximately 2800mm long, 300mm wide, and 250mm tall. The attached image is not the complete structure, but it shows the basic core of the assembly.
