install sort order and display attributes in product listing on oscommerce site

Project Description:

we need the following installed on a live site.
this means you can only be provided the files you need for editing, and will as such not get access to our live server.
We will implement you changed files, and tell you if isntallation is successfull or not.

1. mod:
We want in product listing, to be able to choose sort order of products, like they do on www.shakk.dk
Standard sort order must be newest products first.
Maybe this can be used:http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6186


2. mod:
We want in product listing, below product thumbnail, to display the following message:
In stock: M | L | 2XL (displaying the attributes that are in stock for the given product).
I dont know if already solution exists in oscommerce contribution section..
maybe this can be used:

however this is very old contribution, and our shop is MS2.
You could also just code from scratch. Please note that the sql query must be properly created so it does not slow site speed.
