We have lost the DBA password of one of our Sybase SQLAnywhere Network Server Version5.5.04build#1890database file.I have the the .db file. We can upload when you are ready

    Hi,
    I am with long experience with different databases.My skills are confirmed with database certification.
    Indeed there is no chance that this password to be discovered ,but there is small chance the password of DBA to be reset.The chance is small because the Sybase SQLAnywhere hasn't procedure for recovering of DB admin access to a database as it is for example in Oracle , MySQL and other.But there is a chance as one database options allows emergency access to database without password.This option is set in db file when database is created.The bad news is that this parameter by default is set not to allow such special access.More over this parameter can't be changed in a db file without SQL access.If this access is possible at all,it can be made only from original location of the database within the Windows account usually used for starting of the database.So if you are interested you can give me a remote access to this account and it will become clear for a couple of minutes if a recovery of DBA is possible at all.
