I want a similar setup to ipcop using dansguardian for content filtering that would filter a user that is on another network than the squid server using a router or proxy client software that directs all of there traffic to the proxy server. A master account would be setup on the proxy server and the user could login to a web interface and select the level of filtering they want and also add sub users and give them different filtering levels. Basically a parent would be the admin and be able to add their children as sub users under the main account. I like the interface and filtering that OpenDNS has but you cannot have multiple users. This is intended as a commercial project. I am going to sell router that are hard coded to point to my proxy server for authentication and then filtering. This project involves all of these aspects from capturing the user and forcing them to login when they open their browser to filtering that user per category or whitelist/blacklist, as well as the gui interface for setting their account up and adding users to their account. I have looked at Safesquid, Ipcop, ZoneCD, and many others. I also need a client that forces all http traffic to the proxy server also if a client does not want the router or there child is taking a laptop to a coffe house its still filtered becuase thay still have to login to the proxy server.Skills required:

Next your phrase make impossible your task:

as the same portable pc may be in internet cafe or anywhere is used without main software (for example other OS from livecd ) or may be reinstalled, and i'm think 98% of them will be with administrator rights and so can change and uninstall anything, + there also possible proxy in cafe already exist and can interfere with your needs , also that cafe proxy may be incapable with transfering of auth requests...
all you needs is possible only on network that router will redirect to transparent proxy and which not make NAT-ing, as in that case may be installed other proxy outside and used - but NAT absence will limit usage of other internet services.
router that redirects all web requests to your proxy - is possible,
make config file web editor is possible (but with nuances on configuration from multiple users simulatneosly, but that also possible)
forcing use of proxy is also possible if user of target pc is not admin on that pc.over 2 years ago
