Project ID:
461971
Project Type:
Fixed
Budget:
$250-$750 USD
Project Description:
We need an advanced Javascript programmer to enhance the mousemove event speed in IE (6,7 and 8) for 'flot' (open source javascript plotting library for jQuery) found here - http://code.google.com/p/flot/
An example of the mousemove event can be found here - http://chujoii.googlepages.com/manualsearchpeak.html
THE PROBLEM:
In Firefox 2 and 3 (Windows and Mac), and Safari (latest) the mousemove event speed is very fast (realtime), but in IE6 IE7 and IE8 the mousemove event speeds are slow. We need someone to find out what part of the code IE is choking over. Apparently IE8 has a profiler built-in. Otherwise it's probably easiest to comment out some parts and see what happens.
The posted flot issue can be found here - http://code.google.com/p/flot/issues/detail?id=185
As well as being paid, as stated in the issue text, you will also attain 'eternal glory'
Thanks,
Will.
