Simple PHP/MYSQL gift finder

Project Description:

The frontend and backend will be simple, but the database will need to store 2,000 - 5,000 gifts, with about 40 fields, accessed by (hopefully) many users a day - so efficiency will be vital when designing it.

The main fields for each gift will be: name, url, url2, description, price, thumbnail, image. As well as these, each gift will need to be categorised into about 30 categories. There are 4 main headings: age, recipient, personality and occasion. A particular gift may be suitable for one, some or all of the attributes in each category. Eg. a computer may be suitable for both "dad" and "son" as the recipient, and several different personalities.

Admin panel: Admin can add, remove, edit gifts. Quite simply, the admin can fill out fields and checkboxes as listed above.

Frontend: User clicks buttons, going through 4 stages, selecting: age, then recipient, then personality, then occasion. The results are shown based on these selections.

(user can select up to 3 personalities)

Once these selections are made, user is taken to results based on selection.

User can then filter by price, or select/deselect one/some of their chosen personalities, refining their search.

Design skills are not important. Database efficiency/scalability is most important. Please provide a portfolio of relevant works.

The winning coder will be invited to make alterations and additions on a regular basis.
