Project Description:

My client (a wheel company) is expanding its Motorsport marketing division and requires an additional website. It needs to be dynamic, punchy yet classy, inviting and MUST entice visitors to WANT to follow the sponsored teams & drivers. (The use of Flash or similar is desired.) The website is to be easily updatable, expandable, and viewable by multiple browsers and those with accessibility issues. In addition, site should be search engine optimized.

Copy and videos/photos will be provided, but logo and background graphics will need to be created. (Artwork must be original.) New logo will be an adaption of the current logo.

Website to include:
Action Videos and Photos – With each sponsored event or Team/Driver participation, new videos and/or photos will be added.

Apparel – Photos, description, and cart. Must allow purchase of items to run through client’s current warehouse credit card system. (Unless a better option is available.)

Garage Chat/How To/Wheel Q&A – Where visitors can post questions (requiring approval of Web Manager) to be answered by Staff and posted online. Alternatively, Staff can write and answer most commonly asked questions.

Clubs – Information pages with the ability for the Clubs to update their photos/videos and copy, pending approval of the Web Manager. (Template style for Club liaison.)

Testimonials – Posted by Staff with or without usage photo. Ability for visitors to send testimonials.

Team/Drivers – Information pages with the ability for the Teams to update their photos/videos and copy, pending approval of the Web Manager. (Template style for Team liaison.)

Events/Announcements – Written by Staff. Simple 200 words or less, with date of input. Editable and linkable.

Press Release/News/Media Center – Simple template style with ability for visitors to download documents in PDF or Word.

Dealers & Allies – Links to current distributors listed by State, to include address and phone. Updateable.

About Us/Contact Us – Sort of a FAQ page with basic info.

Links to the Main Website & Corporate Website should be at the bottom of every page including links to Twitter and Facebook.

Newsletter – Ability for visitors to sign up to receive email advertisements and promotions. Also an interface for them to easily unsubscribe.

Sponsorship Requests Form Link – Form must be able to be printed and/or filled out online and emailed to two email addresses. Form details to be provided. Link to be located on About Us/Contact Us page.

CMS with simple updating of videos, photos and copy. (Perhaps Drag & Drop?) The interface must be user friendly, with all pages saved and never overwritten without Management approval. This is an incredibly important part of the project. All expansions, updates, changes and additions MUST be able to be done through this interface by individuals with little web experience.

Hosting is an option, to be determined. (Please include bid for hosting separate from project, if interested.)

Phone contact is a must, along with email.
Deadline for live website is August 1, 2009. (It is understood there may still be lingering bugs to work out of the system. However, the expectation is that those bugs will be dealt with ASAP.)
