SPECIFICATIONS FOR SERVERS
D.1.1 The CAA has decided to acquire blade servers with full redundant
D.1.2 The reliability of the hardware is essential to maintain the proposed system.
D.1.3 The Bidders are invited to propose hardware complaint with the specifications
listed in this document.
D.2.0 Type: Blade Servers complete with full redundant configuration and supporting at
least 06 blades.
D.3.0 Make & Model :An internationally recognized model/brand name which is currently
D.4.0 Blade Chasis:
D.4.1 Form Factor: Standard 19" Rack size, maximum IOU
D.4.2 Number of power supplies: Should be equipped with redundant mum of 4
power supplies using lEC 320 C 14 power connector and sufficient power capacity to
SUppOit the maximum number of Blade Servers.
0.4.3 Support for Blades: A minimum of 6 full height redundant dual 110 Blade
Servers should be supported.
0.4.4 Integrated storage:Support for a minimum of 12 internal SAS and Near-online
SAS hot swappable hard disks accessible to the blade servers should be available.
Facility to intermix the two types should be available.
0.4.5 Support RAID functionality: Support for a minimum of two SAS RAID
controllers with the RAID functionality by the RAID Controller Modules should be
available in the Blade Center chassis with RAID levels 0, I ,5, 10 facility.
0.4.6. Storage array within the chassis: Support for creating logical volumes within
the storage pools and to assign these to the blades should be available.
0.4.7 Protection of data: Battery backup to protect data during a power failure
should be available.
0.4.8 I/O Port:s A Minimum of four(04) should be available. The Bidder is to
specify the types of connectivity for each POit
0.4.9 Standards & Protocols: Provision to accommodate third party blade
servers including 110 modules supported by multiple vendors available by adopting
0.4.10 Cooling: Internal blowers with redundancy should be available. The noise
level created by the blowers should comply with the approved thresholds.
0.4.11 Redundancy: This is considered as a critical feature. Redundancy should be
available for the components given below. The Bidder is required to state the level of
redundancy for each of these components.

D.4.1~ Management Modules: At least one (01) should be available
D.4.13 Management Software: Chassis and Blade server management software should
be provided to enable multiple chassis/blade management.

for these servers. The Bidder is to specify any limitations/restrictions in changing the
