We are deploying asp.net web services to Amazon EC2, which have an MSSQL 2008 data backend. We need the data backend to be highly scalable, so we have designed and built the web service to distribute data across multiple SQL Servers.

We need assistance in setting up and documenting SQL Server 2008 transactional replication:

- Setting up one SQL Server 2008 Standard as a distibutor

- Setting up one SQL Server 2008 Web as a subscriber

- Enable distribution of required tables.

This project is to write a small guide that will allow me to set up replication from scratch (with SQL Server 2008 already installed).

Please realize that it is a requirement the guide allows replication to be set up on EC2 instances. You need to either have experience with EC2 or be willing to learn, as the required steps are not necessarily identical to any other installation.
