We require someone who has the skills to contact business and corporations to advertise in our print magazine, online subscription site, e-zine, forum and blog. Primarily chasing Australian advertisers within the Global Positioning System (GPS) market, such as car manufacturers, retailers, software vendors and hardware manufacturers.
You must be persistent, excellent at getting contact details and great at following up.
Examples of potential advertisers are Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Dick Smith Electronics, Johnny Appleseed, Garmin, Magellan, Navman, Mitac, Navteq, Sensis, Toyota, Landrover, Trimble, Leica, and many more. We have a short list but expect you to expand the list extensively to even include overseas manufacturers such as Holux, Mitac, Sony, globalsat etc. New Zealand companies will be targeted as well.
We offer 10% of the total revenue, meaning, if an advert is sold for $1000 then you will recieve $100. Predicted average price per advertisement is $1,000. We are looking for 60+ advertisers in the first round.
We will supply all pricing and templates and media/marketing products.
Communication to advertisers will be done through VOIP unless in Australia where landline can be used if VOIP not available. We will pay for all calls at the standard local, national and international rates*. We will be contacting ALL potential advertiser contacts to confirm calls have been made. on a weekly basis and will pay phone costs weekly. Emailing is not acceptable as a first contact except when dealing with companies outside of English speaking countries. If you need further clarification or have better ideas then please let us know.
*International calls by phone have to be approved first, especially as many international companies have an office in Australia or utilise media companies in Australia.
Payment for advertisers will be done when payment by advertiser cannot be refunded. You will be paid within 1 week of the none refundable payment.
We feel the generosity of 10% covers any financial loss or discrepencies. Loss or discrepencies such as unaccounted for calls.
If successful, this "could" lead to better percentage and ongoing work. There will be a quarterly print magazine which will require advertisers thus there will be varying income over the year in between the print magazine as we expect online advertising will be less lucrative.
