Need a program for a small naturopathic medical practice to assist with interpretation of laboratory [blood and urine] test results. A clerk would enter data received from a laboratory into template(s) in the program. The program should be able to prompt the clerk for the next score, and the sequence in which the scores are entered should be able to be rearranged to suit various laboratories The program would perform a series of if-then type computations, and offer diagnostic conclusions and therapeutic recommendations that can be edited. For example, IF glucose is < 80 AND LDH < 100 THEN: "Hypoglycemia - low blood sugar can cause symptoms such as..." If more than one circumstance or set of circumstances would result in the same diagnostic conclusion [such as diabetes, for example], the conclusion should appear only once on the report, and not multiple times. The lab scores and the conclusions should be printable. Serial results should be able to be stored in the program, and compared [Compared with the last time, blood sugar is improving...] Recommendations for particular nutrients, dosage, duration, and proposed schedule for comparative testing should be included. As there are different parameters for pediatrics versus adults, and pregnant versus non-pregnant, the program should respond to age, gender, etc. The program should display the patient's actual scores, the healthy range where their score ought to be optimally, and the unhealty or abnormal ranges. Recommendations for nutrient dosages are often partially based upon weight [or age]. The relationships between scores, diagnostic impressions, nutrient or dietary recommdations, etc to be provided by me
