Editing WEdding scheduled to be shot June 21st

Project Description:
I'm seeking video editors to edit specific portions of a wedding video. I am looking for someone who will cut the footage I provide him/her into completed segments where sound and image are at their final quality. For the wedding this includes, from beginning to end, the Ceremony, Grand Entrance, First Dance, Special Dances (such as Father Daughter and Honeymoon Dance), Cake Cutting, Bouquet and Garter Tosses, and interview segment.

The editor is also being asked to cut out any background music from the footage so that I can replace it with royalty free music that I can legally use.

Additionally, the editor will separate and log any moments within the raw footage that would serve artistic purpose in the creation of a music montage. Such moments include not only when couples, for example, put on their wedding rings, but these shots can be any small details, pans or hand dolly shots that catch your eye. In the end, I plan to take the shots you've chosen so that I can make a wedding montage and dance montage. I have examples I can provide of these shots, Lord willing.

Candidates that have the artistic sense to make excellent music video out of the footage can be considered for similar projects in the future.

It is preferred that you edit on Final Cut Pro, but if you are talented and operate on Adobe Premier, for example, you will be considered. Please provide demonstrations of your work, and be willing to discuss and adjust style when necessary.

The Candidate:

* Must be fluent in Final Cut Pro editing
* Must have your own legally owned editing software.
* Must be able to edit for light and sound
* Must be able to receive and handle large video files that range from 1 to 12 gb for standard definition or up to 50 gb for High Definition, depending on what the client chooses.
* Must be able to return completed files either on disc or through a file sharing network.
* Must be able to complete this project within 4 weeks.

Key Qualities

* Have a keen sense of story telling
* Willingness and ability to adjust based on my direction.
* Ability to play with color correction and sound to help achieve desired look.
* Ability to troubleshoot and be self-sufficient in addressing problems.

Also for the completion of the task, the end product would look something like me getting:

1 video file of the ceremony
1 video file of the grand entrance and first dance
1 video file of interviews (if there are any)
1 video file of the Grand Entrance and first dance
1 video file of the speeches
1 video of the Father/ Daughter and Mother/Son dances
1 video file of the bouquet & garter toss
1 video file of the cake cutting
1 video file of the shots you selected that you think would be good for me to ad into a music montage. This does not have to be set to music or timed to any music by you. That would be my job. I would need you to go through the raw footage and pick out shots I can use, with a few extra seconds of editing space before and after the shot that you feel I can use. Once you're hired for the job, I can send you examples of the types of shots I've used in my videos to give you a feel of what to expect.

Your completed work would be sent back to me, and I would incorporate your work into the overall wedding DVD.
