I have an MS Office COM add-in written in VB in 2010. The project is attached. It's objective is to offer 'Save to' menu options in Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio. Clicking on the 'Save to' option opens a dialog where the user can specify the file name to save to. The location to save to is taken from a registry entry in VB and VBA Settings.
The add-in works fine in Office 2007/2010 apart from some installation issues on some machines (ie those running Windows 7/8) related to Windows security. However, on Office 2013 it fails to load the menu options (though items still can be saved via the add-ins tab) and in Outlook 2013 it throws an error when Outlook starts.
What I'm looking for is:
- Make it work in Office 2013
- Make it install more reliably, overcoming the security issues that can be present in Win7 / 8.
