Hi,
I have exerience changing websites to a responsive structure, you can see many of my recently completed projects on freelancer/vWorker involve mobile optimization.
With this site I don't think it will be very hard to create a responsive layout that works for desktops, tablets and phones. The way I achieve this is through @media queries in the primary CSS files, that target a range of resolutions: (e.g. @media screen and (max-width: 320px) { would target smartphones in portrait viewing mode, and @media screen and (min-width: 321px) and (max-width: 680px) { would be for phones in landscape mode, and so on).
I am not sure what to do with the colors and logo, If something strikes me I will change them, but right now I think they are fine.
Thanks,
Jeremy
