Note that this is a repost. The logo and business cards have already been done, so there's already a starting off point.
We are needing a new corporate identity for a UK startup building a do-it-yourself tool for daily use by business folks. By 'identity' we mean: designs for stationary (letterhead, compliment slip, invoices, job quote), and basic web design (landing page, generic content page, in clean html and css...we will do the work to incorporate the design into our actual web site). There will also be icon design and graphics for the tool part of the web site.
As for the design itself, ideas we are looking to communicate: open, simple, free (as in speech, not as in beer), enabling, business-oriented, friendly and capable (without being arrogant), reliable. Web 2.0 look and feel is better than old-style web sites. We're using jQuery and jQueryUI extensively throughout the site if that has any effect on the web design. Since HTML5 and CSS3 is used throughout, this is a chance for a designer to stretch wings.
We need to be able to support Firefox 3.x, IE9 (8 if possible), Chrome 3+ and most Safari browsers.
All designs must have the original data files provided. For example, a business logo should be more than an anti-aliased .png file. It should come as postscript, SVG, or some other vector-based file format that can be translated as necessary.
The winning bidder will provide several examples of work, be fluent in English, and be responsive and eloquent via email. The winner doesn't have to be in a particular country, but the work must be original and exclusive. We will own all rights to the design, and the data files for it, and will require this and the exclusivity in writing.
