Project Description:
I need someone to write 100 articles for a site about dog rescue. I have a list of breeds that need profile descriptions. We also could use articles on why rescuing dogs is better than buying them from pet stores, articles on training dogs, general dog care, and anything else that is related to dogs, rescue groups, or animal welfare. We are looking for people who can do more than just copy and paste. To be accepted, you must write well, use perfect grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and be original.
To be chosen, you must be available via Yahoo messenger for regular updates. It would be a plus if you also knew HTML and could format the article using h and p tags, but this is not a strict requirement. Article lengths can vary, but for the breed profiles, I am looking for someone who will write more than just the facts about physical appearance. For example, if you were writing about Bassett Hounds, I would want you to include things like whether or not they are good with kids, personality quirks, etc.
Of the 100 articles, 50 should be dog profiles, and the other 50 can be the topic of your choice, as long as they are dog-related (we don't want PETA rants about the horrors of eating factory chicken or beef hormones).
We do not want plagiarism. If you plagiarize, you will not be paid. It is acceptable to cite other works in moderation, though. We do not want our site to look bad for hosting duplicate content. The site is currently being rebuilt to look more modern and contemporary as the webmaster built it a couple years ago using notepad, and now he has CS3. So the new site must be visually appealing and also have great content, for a more global reach.
For a list of article topics to get you started, and a list of dog breeds that we still need, visit pound dog rescue.org/articles.htm and pound dog rescue.org/breeds.htm (with no spaces).
I would like to have all 100 articles finished by December 31. The next phase of the project will involve writing another 100 articles, again 50 breeds and 50 on the topic of your choice. If you meet the deadline and your work is error-free, we will work with you on this second phase.
Our nonprofit group will retain the copyrights, and you will not be able to reuse these articles or sell them to anyone else. We will include your byline, and will consider a link to your website if it is relevant.
Lower bidders will have a better chance here. We will consider tipping the writer if the work is done well and submitted on time. If we use you for phase two, the pay will increase.
