Graphic Design/Usability for Mobile Apps (IPhone/Android)

Our company is in the process of developing a series of customer facing applications based on innovative technology to deliver guided tours, provide navigation aid, and assist users with supplementary information at the destination. Our main components of the applications are built for Android and IPhone based phones as well as administrative component which is a web based, php application. Our company is seeking a professional graphic designer and usability specialist with extensive experience in producing clean, creative, elegant and attractive graphic design and most importantly capable of assisting us with applications’ usability. We are looking to hire a person as soon as we can find the right fit. Potential hire would work closely with our development team to incorporate design concepts and ideas into the specified applications. We are looking to design and develop a couple of driving custom components that would be unique to our application and could be centrally standard to Android and IPhone applications. We would prefer if a designer has experience developing custom controls. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a big plus. We are looking forward seeing your work, Thank you More Detailed Requirements (Design and Usability): The goal of the design is to come up with a general theme as well as standard design that would look to some extent similar across platforms. Similarly, the application's usability must be similar across platforms, meaning that people who use our application on IPhone would be able to use the application on different platforms(Android, Java based phones) without re-learning and completely re-adapting. Currently, our application has approximately 10-15 different screens, with some having only slight variations from each other. Primarily, we would like to concentrate the design and usability analysis on the home screen, where majority of the application's features would be discovered. Home screen is the face of the application, so all the features must be easily accessible and attractively represented. We will be able to provide screen shots of the current application after we agree to mutual terms of our operation contract. We've already had our logo designed, therefore the design of the application must be driven from the logo theme including the color palette and overall design principles.
