I'm experienced graphic designer and my profession is “teacher of visual art & graphic design”.
I’ve been working in big companies as a senior graphic designer and further as creative director for last 10 years creating logos, corporate ID-s, web & printing designs for magazines, and outdoor advertisings of well known brands. Parallel I’ve been working for several galleries as contemporary artist.
2 years ago we’ve started our own family business with my husband (commercial company) and I’ve stopped to work as full time graphic designer & artist. I do continue to work for few customers till now and I also work for my own company producing my own advertisements.
I do love the Graphic Design job a lot and many years I had an idea of creating a very useful book for talented graphic designers which can help – generate ideas in graphic design!
This book will be learning designers not only to think – but to think commercially and professionally! This book will contain helpful information on how to do a great – smart designs, logos, corporate ID-s and concepts – inside the scheduled timeframe, meeting deadlines!
Professionals in advertising business know very well that there are many very talented designers which create great things and have a gorgeous professional portfolio, but unfortunately called “not commercial” designers due to not meeting deadlines.
There is another problem I guess my book will be very helpful to solve – for example, you can open any magazine – with huge quantity of advertisements inside: Many of them are looks very beautiful, with color harmony and good signs – but they are empty – because there is NO idea inside. This is a LOW PROFILE advertisements made by designers who had learn the composition and the color harmony perfectly – but who has NO idea on how important the Idea inside advertisement is!
The Good Idea – is 99.9% of the Advertisement Success and Effect – this is a General thing my book will provide to the readers.
There will be also one very important Chapter included – “The Effective Work Under Pressure” – which will explain the way of thinking (the systematic organized thinking) necessary to use to create great designs in very short time frames!
My idea - is creating a book which learn graphic designers - to think commercially!
The book will explain things which designers understand after 3-5 years of non stop full time work experience – and therefore will be very useful for most new talented designers.
Book chapters have a construction of real tasks which designers meet in their real work and where they basically stuck inside the timeframes.
You can not expect from my book to “build” the great designer for human who mistakably has chosen the graphic designer job but will be very helpful manual for ones who love advertising business and graphic design but not practically experienced enough!
This book will be full color illustrated by my own, has my own logos and photographs inside.
This is going to be large album format, hard cover book, 500 pages total (250 pages illustrations + 250 pages text).

Subtitle: developing Best graphic designers = developing people’s dreams
Chapter 1- designer or routine guy (chapter which help to understand if you really want to be designer or just waist your time)
Chapter 2 – forward & backward compositions – main thing to know before to start
Chapter 3 – font and it’s SIZE – understanding font as the general component of design, most common mistakes and how to avoid them.
Chapter 4 – logo design in practice – customer coming – 4 samples and only 2 hours!
Chapter 5 – corporate ID
Chapter 6 – web and typo – basic things to know!
Chapter 7 – photos - rules and roles
Chapter 8 – magazine print designs
Chapter 9 – outdoor advertising
Chapter 10 – color, first & the last
Chapter 11 – warning: photo effects or one step to render the glamorous design to the “yellow pages” issue

This was about the Book – and this, below – is about what resources I need – to make this Book a tangible one:
1. corrector service (they take $3 per page - I live in non English native country) - $750
2. pre-press service: $800
3. films: $200
4. printing (paper 160-180 gr., cover 350 gr.): $12 copy x 1000 copies = $12000
I need totally $13750 to make my project real.
As I already told above – I invest all my financial resources into the commercial business we’ve started with my husband and there are no possibility for me - to bring my Book into the World alone.
I’m planning to offer this book to eBay sellers and to online book stores – with the price $45,00
What do I offer to the Sponsor: The Sponsor will get 25% of all sales which means $11250 from each 1000 copies sold.
I’m planning to do a costly promotion of the book after the 1-st. issue which will be seriously increase the sales.
I reserve the rights to publish my book to my own commercial company. The contract will be signed between the book issuer – my own commercial company and the Sponsor. The Sponsor gets 25% of all total sales of the book. % can be discussed if the Sponsor will do money investments into the book advertising.
I currently have all resourses except the funding - to put this project on!
