We are a community building website that connects people to things that are happening around town...to businesses...to charities and to other people. Each site is community centric, with sites rolling out to the 18 largest English Speaking Countries around the world. Even though we are looking for someone who is talented in children illustrations, this is not a children site. Instead, the feel of it will be friendly and light. Our mascot/logo is a monkey and will be incorporated.

Project Description:
Each of the 5 sliders (or 6) on the introductory home page will tell another bit of our story. The story will be done in flow chart manner with pictures acting as a metaphor for the copy. The site will be created using this concept and branding.

I will submit a flow chart that will illustrate one point. At the top of the flow chart is a box presenting a yes no question. The yes answer is on left. The No is on the right.

We will follow this clockwise starting at 12:00. Actually. picture a house...at the top of the roof is the yes no question. following the angle of the roof down to the right will be the first no answer where the roof hits the wall. A (would you like to:) question is halfway between the roof and the ground. An arrow points to the ground where the second no resides. The arrow points to the other side of the house to the ground where a 'keep doing what you are doing" response resides. In your mind, go back up to the clarifying question. If the answer is yes, the arrow will point to the yes which is at a 45 degree angle down and to the left. That will also be a metaphorical design of yes. From that yes, your eye will go to the middle , which is TAKE ACTION...surrounded by benefits. Go back to the top. If the answer is yes, the arrow will point to the edge of the left side of the roof, where it hits the top part of the wall. There will be an arrow pointing down to the left, bottom corner, which is "keep doing what you are doing.

Now, to illustrate..This will give you an idea. But...this is so easy and fun to come up with ideas!

Fluffy Clouds: Are you inspired, connected, motivated, etc.?

A picnic table with an umbrella with person sitting by him/herself. The no is on the umbrella.

Do you want to be? No! ...a mud puddle.

Yes is perhaps on a kite that the monkey is flying.

Center? A beautiful gazebo with flowering vines. Maybe there is a sigh hanging down that says: "get connected now" (will be the web log in button)

Far laft Kep doing what you are doing, could be a mass of grass that a tree sets on.

The YES on the mid-upper left. Perhaps the leaves of a fluffy tree.

Web 2.0 stuff. I am looking for a look that will be carried throughout the site.
