Project Description:
We are currently developing a new Joomla 2.5/VirtueMart site (see: dev.americanoutdoorgear.com). We are looking for an experienced developer to audit our existing configuration for best practices, make recommendations for improvements in functionality and design, and implement those recommendations.
We are looking for improvements in the following areas:
A) Shopping cart experience - we want to ensure that our customers have an ideal cart experience
B) Freight calculation - we would like our freight calculator to accommodate both small packages and truck quotes
C) Contact form that maintains site appearance and feeds data into an SQL database
D) Filtered search, particularly within categories - being able to search by manufacturer, by price, by color, etc.
E) Other User Experience features
F) Any other features you recommend that you do not see on our site (we're looking for your expert advice!)
Please respond with your recommendations and your quote for implementation of those recommendations. Identify which basic extensions or plug-ins you recommend (including whether they require a paid license) so that we can evaluate the functionality and cost involved.
Expected milestones are 25% upon acceptance, 25% after initial review and consultation is completed, 50% upon completion of project (implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of all requested or recommended features).
For consideration, candidates must supply URLs of similar work completed or have a portfolio of previous sites established. Similar work will be available in the future for excellent performance.
