This project is to design a specialized android/iphone app for graphing a specific function. (Viscosity as a function of temperature)
The app needs to be made available on Google Play and iTunes and all e-commerce activities will need to be set-up by the developer. The app will need to be marketed on Facebook and google.
It will get its own facebook site (for me to manage after its creation).
The app will take a very specific function and plot the output of that function based on 4 variable inputs. The graph’s vertical axis will need to be a log log plot and the horizontal axis will need to be linear. The key to the whole project is the plotting…as the function will result in an easily identifiable straight line when plotted on these scales.
The input variable will be (viscosity1, temp1), (viscosity2, temp2). The viscosity data will be required to be input in specific units (cSt) and the temp data will be able to be input in C, F, R or K degrees (and then converted to Kelvin internally). The linear output scale can be in C, F, R or K as indicated by the user. It is important that the linear axis handle the negative numbers of negative temperatures.
The Vertical axis will be in cSt. We will neglect density for now.
A summary of the calculation in a single number is called the viscosity index. The Viscosity index will be placed on the graph in a predetermined location if the user desires it.
Multiple fluids will need to be plotted on the same graph. A maximum of 5 samples will be plotted simultaneously. A scheme for identifying the different lines will be required.
An open title field will need to be available if the user desires. The output of the equation will need to be saved to a csv file if the user desires it. (it would consist of header information and the temp,viscosity for all five sets of variable)
The plot will need to be, of course, displayed on the android or iphone app. The plot will need to be save off as a PDF if the user desires.
I am open to any and all other suggestions for user input features and enhancements that I may not be mentioning. There’s a world of functionality out there that I may not be in tune with. All functionality must be resident on the mobile device when not connected to any cell or wifi network.
It is important that bidders supply screenshots of apps they have previously developed (or links to them if that’s possible). I only have an android at the moment…so I can’t test iphone apps.

You can go to Exxonmobil (or Mobil1) to get some example data. I might post them later if I have to.
