Client login (Secured)

I am looking to create a login area for clients on my design site, I would like the section that the client logs into on every page but a float the site so when they click it, it drops down instead of going to another page to sign in. This will take them their own section of the site for example /clients/name folder, which will show all the work carried out on their project. I want this to be only accessable via the log in and if you type in the url it'll won't gain access to it. The login would similar to how the freelance users log into but not entirely the same, more like [login to view URL]
