We are and Australian based web development company with a team of 13 and are looking for a production manager / webmaster to join our team.
Below you'll find the all the details for the 2 different roles. Once you are clear with what is involved in the two positions, please follow the instructions at the end on how to apply.
Specific tasks can vary on a project to project basis. Here however is a basic list of the most common tasks:
=> Engage the sales / account manager in a production meeting to take over control of the project once initial specfication is complete
=> Allocating tasks to each team member in the project management system
=> Monitor and ensure all tasks are completed on time
=> Troubleshooting any issues that arise
=> liasing with the account manager regarding any issue that need to be brought the clients attention
=> Keeping the client up to date with the progress of their project
=> Update tasks and checklists with the latest information regarding a project
=> update the CRM with any information relevant to the project or client
=> Keeping all records eg. checklists, crm etc up to date with the latest information
=> Quality control on completion of projects
To effectively fulfil these responsibilities and complete these tasks the production manager will require a certain range of skills including:
=> Excellent follow up skills
=> Ability to explain sometimes complex issues to fellow team members
=> An excellent understanding of web development and joomla
=> Great trouble shooting skills
=> Great research skills
=> The ability to organise themselves and other team members to ensure projects are completed ON TIME
=> Prioritise tasks for the entire team
=> great communication skills
=> Ability to simply complex concepts
=> Discipline to motivate themselves and others to get things done each day
The primary function of the webmaster is to provide non technical (no coding) assistance during the development and maintenance of both custom and company websites.
=> Assist in the installation and configuration of news websites
==> Installation of new websites
==> installation of all required extensions and plugins
==> configuration of website and extensions and plugin
=> Quality control of completed websites
==> Checking website configuration has been completed to specification
==> checking complete site. includes layouts, pages, links, features etc.
=> Maintenance of existing websites including updates, content loading etc
==> Adding extensions to existing sites
==> updating out of date extensions
==> Bug fixing
==> loading content
=> Administration - keeping tasks and production manager updated
==> keeping all their assigned tasks updated
==> Keeping the production manager updated with progress of tasks
=> Excellent knowledge of joomla - installation, setup and configuration - no coding skills required.
=> Excellent trouble shooting skills
=> Ability to self manage and self motive
=> Ability to get tasks done on time
