I'm looking to link my Wordpress website with my Xsilva Lightspeed e-commerce site. Right now I have my Wordpress site in the root folder, and my Lightspeed site in a sub-folder. This works decent, but not the way I'd like it to work.
I want to my Lightspeed e-commerce integrated with with my Wordpress website. I want my customers to have the ability to log in/out, view their cart, register, and any other option of Lightspeed e-commerce. On the other hand I want Wordpress to act my CMS, giving me the ability to blog, update pages and widget, and all the other perks of Wordpress, on the fly. I have to be logged on to my server to make any changes to Lightspeed, that's not conducive to blogging on the go. Lightspeed would only act as my inventory management, and order fulfillment.
My website is done, it's only content that needs to be added, and that's something I'll do. There’s not a need for a new logo, background, or layout etc.
The only other tweaks I would want done to the layout are the following:
1. I want the login/register button, and summarized cart to be the top band of the page.
2. I want side categories for shopping to be expanded/collapsed after a customer clicks on, not from just a hover.
3.I want customers to be able to filter what products they're looking at, when they're looking at category, I want them to be able to filter brand name, gender size and color, etc.. Also for them to be able to choose how many results on each page.
4.Last, have a Sale category, that I’m able to put exactly what products I want in there.
Lightspeed’s e-commerce files are open source, here’s the link to the files: https://github.com/lightspeedretail/webstore. If you’re reading this I assume you already know how to work Wordpress. Please look over Lightspeed’s files to make sure this is something within your scope. This is my website: https://www.redpointclimbing.com. I’ll be sure to answer any other questions you may have.
